Writer, Teacher, Recovering Attorney, and soon-to-be Father. Born and and raised in western PA. Now, Graduate Instructor and PhD Candidate in English (Creative Writing) Nebraska-Lincoln. MFA (Fiction) at Ole Miss: Grisham Fellow, studied with Barry Hannah, Richard Ford, and Tom Franklin. My work, short fiction and nonfiction, has appeared in Texas Review, Prairie Schooner, and Word Riot, among other journals. Honors include a Pushcart nomination, VCCA Residency, Glimmer Train contest finalist, and Ropewalk Novella contest finalist. I have a BA from Bowdoin College and JD from Penn State School of Law. Before pursuing a teaching and writing career, I practiced law in Pittsburgh. I just completed my first novel, a literary thriller called Not Safe For Work, and my current project is a Young Adult thriller. I reside in Lincoln with my wife, and we’re expecting our first child this winter.
